Describe current and past community involvement: 
Allison has been actively involved in her community in a variety of different ways; Allison served on the Strategic Planning Committee for Swanton Local Schools where she helped the district define their mission, vision, and objectives. She served as the head Chair for the Swanton Local School District Levy Committee.  Allison was actively involved with the Swanton Parents Club and was put in charge of their largest fundraiser for 3 consecutive years, each year raising money to help give back to the teachers and students.  In addition, Allison has taught religion classes to grades K-2 and has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity for several builds. She is always willing to get involved! 

Financial Oversight Experience:
Allison earned a Bachelor’s in Finance and Marketing from the University of Toledo and understands her fiduciary responsibilities.

Government Affairs Experience: 
This is something Allison would like to expand on. She was able to gain some basic knowledge and insight on the NW Ohio area happenings and needs during her participation in the Leadership Academy.

Communications Experience:
Allison is a firm believer in transparent communication and that it is important to ask questions to make sure everyone is on the same page. She believes the biggest problems stem from poor communication but with a little effort we can create a dialogue to solve even the most difficult problems.

Strategic Planning Experience: 
As a former member of the Swanton Local School District Strategic Planning Committee, as well as participating in numerous strategic planning sessions throughout her past career in Finance, Allison is highly skilled at planning, strategizing, and implementation for success.

Technology Experience:
Her background in the Financial Markets/Institutions allows her to stay in tune with market trends. Allison is always trying to stay informed of what is happening locally as well as regionally so she can better serve her clients.

Real Estate Trends Experience:
Allison participated in leadership camps throughout her childhood years and in every position since then, she was put into a leadership role. Allison has trained staff at every level with-in the restaurant industry. She has led, trained, and implemented new programs and systems for Financial Advisors. And, she has been the President of her BNI chapter for two non-consecutive terms. She is always willing to step up and do the work and always gives her best!

Leadership Experience:
Allison has always been put into leadership roles since she was young. She participated in leadership camps throughout her childhood years and in every job she’s had, she was put into a leadership role. Allison has trained staff in the restaurant industry (each level), she has trained and implemented new programs and systems for Financial Advisors and she has been the President of her BNI chapter for two non-consecutive terms. She is always willing to step up and do the work…and she will not settle for anything less than her best!

Why does Allison wish to be a Director:
Allison is excited for the opportunity to sit on the NOR Board of Directors and looks forward to serving the Board and its members. Her experience as well as several of her core values including trust, respect, lifelong learning, and leadership will allow her to serve effectively as a NOR Board member as well as be an honorable representative to the community.
